Write about urban planning in one of the following countries: Canada, India, China or Brazil. In this paper discuss;
MAIN INSTRUCTIONS
(1) the historical evolution of the urban planning in one of the above countries;
(2) impact of the socio-economic and political forces in shaping the urban planning
(3) the planning response to one of the following urban planning problem i.e. housing, water supply; transportation, provision of open spaces etc.; in a city of the selected country
(4) planning tools employed for tackling the planning problem i.e. plan preparation, zoning etc.
For this paper students may select a city in the selected country as a case study. The paper must be (10-12 pages) typed 12-point font, double-spaced and numbered, and draws upon ten sources referenced in scholarly manner.
