Response Papers are 700+ word papers, and are due on Saturdays by 10:00 pm. Response papers focus on the general topic of GROUPS of readings (as color-coded in the schedule below). For response papers, you will write about your own ideas on the general topic (depending on the general topic were covering), and how the readings, videos, and the discussions are defining and challenging your ideas. You dont need to address every reading in the group, but they are all related, so you will probably end up doing that anyway. The purpose of theassignment is for you to reflect on your own intellectual positions, how they work, how they deal with the kinds of problems brought up in the readings, and how your ideas change over the course of the semester. The point here is for you to think about your thinking. What do you think about these kinds of issues? Why? How is that similar/different from the way you thought about them before? Why did you change your mind? What idea strengthened/weakened your original position? What are some implications of that strengthening/weakening?
