“Should Marketers Stop Gender Specific Marketing?

My task is it to evaluate whether companies should or should not use gender marketing as part of their marketing strategies in today’s business environment. My thesis statement for the persuasive essay is “For”: “Gender specific marketing is necessary to properly understand the needs, behaviors and psychology of a company’s customers, so that an appropriate marketing strategy can be implemented.” The outline should be 1: Introduction, containing a Hook (interesting fact, statement, concept or story to grab the reader’s attention), Background information (provides context around which to build your argument and acquaints the reader with the subject) and a Thesis (a clear, concise statement of your main argument); 2: Body Paragraphs (3 paragraphs), each paragraph should contain a Topic sentence (the first sentence in a body that tells the reader what main idea or claim of the paragraph will be), Explanation (Explain what you mean in greater detail), Evidence (Provide evidence to support your idea or claim. To do this, refer to your research. This may include: case studies, statistics, documentary evidence, academic books or journal articles. Remember that all evidence require appropriate citation) and Comment (Consider the strengths and limitations of the evidence and examples that you have presented.
