You will select and read a peer‐reviewed journal article and write a 3‐4 page paper synthesizing what you learned. The paper should be double‐spaced 12‐point font Times New Roman.Identify an area of learning about death‐‐through maturation and socialization, cultural explanation, or societal death systems‐‐that you think contributes to our society’s tendency to keep death hidden or to be in denial about death. Consider how this may have impacted your life or the lives of those around you. Suggest some sort of societal change that might help to alleviate this problem with facing death. This should not include religion since this is a diverse society and we cannot expect everyone to have the same beliefs. We could not have policies or programs that assumed similar religious beliefs for everyone in the society.
