Choose a public space that is somehow inaccessible (think beyond the need for wider doorways, ramps, etc.) for a special needs population. Create a powerpoint presentation proposing a technology that would make the space more usable for this group. In your presentation include any relevant background information: How the space is used and it’s physical layout, the intended users, How the space doesn’t accommodate their needs, Your solution and its benefits.Incorporate the principles of universal design in your proposal. Provide images or a model of the original space and mockups of how your solution would be installed in the space.Your presentation should consist of 4-6 slides. Try to keep the individual slides visually simple, with no more than five summary bullets or talking points on each slide.Utilize the notes section to capture what you would be saying for each slide to elaborate on the material. You don’t want the audience to be reading the slides; you want them listening to your presentation!
