For the Cause and Effect essay students will examine issues related to writing and literacy during our contemporary era. Students will need to identify a single issue and then research to discover causes for this issue. Research must come from scholarly articles and websites that clearly pass the CRAAP Test (as discussed in class). In order to receive a grade the essay must: 1. Be a minimum of three-pages (not counting the works cited page). 2. Be a minimum of five fully developed paragraphs. 3. Be formatted according to the current MLA guidelines. 4. Must use six sources: a) Three from scholarly articles b) Three from CRAAP approved websites. Must include and works cited page and in-text citations.
