Unique Visual Aspects of Animation

Throughout this semester, we have practiced describing the unique visual aspects of animation. For the final paper, students will show mastery of this new skill by selecting one anime from the list below and providing a sustained analysis of how the works visual design enhances, detracts from, or is irrelevant to the overall thrust of the work. To this end, you might discuss coloring, line work, visual motifs, camera angles and/or other aspects of animation. You might further consider any visual references to other works or artistic styles, differences in animation style within the work and/or how the production process that produced the work affected it. Length: Fourteen to sixteen pages, double-spaced with one-inch margins and in Times New Roman 12-point font with a single-spaced heading. The bibliography should also be singlespaced.
