This week, you will write your third essay. Under Week 5 Lessons, we learned about different types of essays. For your final essay, you may choose from any of these types of essays. Your topic is yours to choose, but make sure it fits the type of essay you’ve decided to write. Here is a thesis example for a “descriptive” essay, in which I will describe a decade: The 1960s was a greatly controversial decade due to its fashion, political unrest, and social norms. Format & Requirements: Research: 3 sources required 1 source from the APUS library 2 sources from wherever you’d like Include a Works Cited or Reference page correctly formatted Format: Use MLA, APA, or Chicago for your formatting. This could be a great opportunity to practice MLA, but it’s up to you. Length: The essay should be 500 to 750 words.
