Typically when we think of women activist, the more popular figures such as Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman and Susan B. Anthony come to mind. However there are numerous lesser known, but equally impressive women activist whom were trailblazers for the advancements of civil and womens rights. Below is a list of six women whose contributions to equality are known by few, but felt by millions. Please select one of these activist and address the following:?Briefly discuss the background of the activist. (place of birth, upbringing, education, and lifetime milestones). You do not need to summarize their entire life from birth to death, just provide a point of reference and overview of significant events.?Identify and discuss at least two social injustices that this activist worked to bring an end to. This could be racial or gender discrimination, health care, wage inequality, suffrage, educational opportunities, segregation or any other form of disparity. Ensure that you also discuss how the activist attempted to bring an end to the social injustice you identified.
