Write up a summary of the analysis including information about calories, nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that are important for the athlete you have chosen.

Overview: Each student will choose a competitive athlete to plan a 2-day menu for. They must be realistic in preparation and time while also meeting the nutritional needs of the athlete/client. A food recall will be conducted with classmate or athlete if possible. A nutrient analysis will be utilized to assess the nutritional needs of client/athlete in order to make accurate recommendations. Instructions: 1.) Select a competitive athlete for which you will be planning a 2-day menu for. 2.) Conduct a 24-hour food recall with athlete if possible or classmate. TIPS: I: Ask for specific amounts of food items such as cups. II: Dont forget to ask for snacks and beverages that may be consumed throughout the day. 3.) Place information into a nutrient analysis system such as, FitDay, MyFitnessPal, or another food app. Turn in copy of analysis. 4.) Use the analysis and possibly recommended daily allowances to make 2-day meal plan I: Include breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Also make recommendations for beverages; including types. II: Make recommendations specific to a time and state why that time may be important for the athlete. III. Turn in an analysis on one of the two days you plan. IV.
