Write instructions for your favorite genre of film, television, books, or music. This can be in any form (except for essay form)- no traditional paragraphs! Write a song, poem, letter, short script, etc. Be creative with it.
Purpose: to recognize patterns across multiple works of your choosing and identify different elements of a genre youve chosen.
Audience:
Option 1: A character in the genre who needs to know how to behave and what to expect.
Option 2: A writer trying to create something that fits in this genre who needs to know how to behave and what to expect.
Option 3: A viewer, reader, or listener who is about to watch or listen to something in the genre and needs to know how to behave and what to expect.
