Your introductory paragraph should have an inverted pyramid structure: that is, it should state the broad topic, identify the text you are using, establish what you are focusing on, and then it should narrow down to your thesis statement. For this assignment, the conclusion does not need to be long, only a sentence or two to wrap things up and provide the sense of an ending.
