Write an essay on how Disneys sanitizing (or cleaning up) of fairy tales might affect children. Use Berlands article “Disney and Freud: Walt Meets the Id” as your primary source. You should also compare a Disney film to a Brothers Grimm version of the story. Explain why Disney chose Perraults version of these fairy tales over the Brothers Grimm versions. Explain if it is healthy for children to only know the sterilized version of these old stories. Please refer to the articles and have at least five direct quotations.
