summary :When in my 10 grade I went to a temple where the priest told us(people present at the mosque) about the poor condition of immigrants(people from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and middle east) living in slums and in the places nearby, where they lack the basic needs of education, shelter, and food. This gave me an idea to help them out. I joined with a group of Muslim scholars. We started a day to day routine to teach them, help them provide clothes, and if they need to go anyplace drop them. They, immigrants, told us their problem and we solved it. they asked us to help them in teach Quran, I and others who know it first hand help them. To enhance my approach I started taking advice from my brothers living in Houston as they good expertise in religious work. We were a team of 7 students from various schools and all have the same aim. Working with them allowed me to expose to see the poor side of society too. Presently, there is brutal discrimination of our religion around my area. People need support and we are there for help. From that, I developed a sense of helping people around.
