Dead Poets Society Micro Essay
In a micro essay, explain how transcendental ideas and concepts are present in the film through Neil. Does Neil trust himself? Can he be defined as an individual? Would you call him a non-conformists? Address these questions in your response, using specific examples from the film. For example, does Neil allow his true feelings to prevail? How so? How does this relate to the ideas of Transcendentalism? Please focus only on Neil, but other characters may be mentioned. You will not be quoting from the movie but you will be expected to back your response with specific evidence. You must use two pieces of evidence followed by (commentary/analysis).
You commentary should make references to the transcendental ideals and people you have learned about thus far.
