Review , select and understand the best practices and compliance issues for writing effective job descriptions. You will develop an accurate, complete and actionable job description within a specific department of an organization of your choice. Select an organization (REAL OR FICTION) and identify: a) What does this organization do? Who are they? What is their mission/vision? b) Develop best practices for the development and proper use of effective job descriptions. c) Develop a template [how and what did you do] for creating job descriptions (include key elements of a job description.) d) Develop a protocol for interviewing hiring managers/ supervisors (as it relates to job descriptions.) e) Develop a list of questions essential for creating or revising a job description. f) What employment laws must we keep in mind when creating job descriptions? g) Identify all of the jobs that this department employs and develop an organizational chart to highlight the positions. [ Choose the same department from which the job description will be created e.g. Human Resources Department] h) Select one job /position in this department and draft a job description.
