Case: Libya is a country very rich with natural resources however, it is known to have water scarcity. Therefore, in the 80s the previous regime built the man-made river to deliver water to different parts of Libya mainly the northern western part were the Captial city Tripoli is located. After the war in Libya which started in 2011 water is been used a political tool. People in the south who have control over the water resources would shut the water valves and cut the water on the City of Tripoli in order to pressure the government and get what they want. The city of Tripoli mainly relays on the man-made river as it main water resources. Therefore, in this paper I want you to provide different solutions that might help develop a sustainable water supply for the citizens of Tripoli. To make it easy and straight forward I want you to follow the following guild line when writing this paper: Part one:(1-1.5 pages) A) I want you to write a general statement about war and sustainability and the impacts of war on environment, economy, and equity. B) Then I want you to be more specific and talk about the impact of war on water security. C) Then I want you talk about how in war water has always been a political tool please mention some examples from the ancients past and the current age. At the end of this part please mention that in this paper we will discuss water scarcity in Libya and the impact of war on sustainable water supply on the capital city Tripoli. Par two:(2-3 pages) In this part I want you to write about water scarcity and water sustainability in Libya: please include in this part: 1. the main causes of water scarcity in Libya. 2. Libyas main water resource and its main supply system. 3. the man-made river and its role in providing sustainable water supply to different part of the country and mainly Tripoli. Part three: (1.5-2pages): Please write about how water is being used as political tool in the war in Libya and the impact of war in Libya on Tripolis water supply system, water security, and the need for an innovative water supply solution. Part four: (2-3pages): In this part please provide different solutions that will help provide sustainable water supply to the citizens of Tripoli so that they will not relay on one sources of supply especially under the current war situation where the people in the south of Libya control the man made river valves and are using water as political tool for their own needs.
