The circular economy is a strong movement that has garnered momentum in the sustainability landscape these days, with potential to generate over 4 trillion of new GDP to our economy.The downside is that investing in the circular economy is needed but not always properly understood by stakeholders. In this group simulation, you’ll be asked to research examples of companies who have developed a circular economy approach and determine how they were able to finance it. Then, you’ll need to elaborate strategies on how financial players can invest in the circular economy. The work will need to be organized around 3 key questions:1. What are the opportunities of investment in circular economy business models?2. What is different and beneficial about the risk-return profile of circular economy business models?3. What policy changes are needed to support investing in circular economy business models?
