For this assignment you will read Controversy 1 in your textbook. Next, you will select a peer-reviewed journal article of your choice that details the findings of a study related to one of the nutrition topics we have covered (8 points). Your article must detail the findings of a study. Peer-reviewed journal articles can be found by accessing the PRCC library’s databases site (Links to an external site.). For help with the site you can click herePreview the document. You can obtain articles from other sources; however, you must be sure the journal article is peer-reviewed. Below I have detailed exactly what type of information must be within your critique. Following each item is the total point value assigned to that portion of the assignment. If any of the information is not contained in your paper, the point values will be deducted from your grade based on the information given below. Once you have selected and read your article, you will then compose a 1-2 page, typed, double-spaced critique (not a summary) of the article in a Word document (4 points). Do not copy and paste your assignment in the submission box. You must submit the assignment as an attachment. The critique should contain the following information at a minimum: what the study was about (6 points), who conducted the study (6 points), where the study was conducted (6 points), findings of the study (6 Points), question/questions you have about the way the study was conducted (do you think it is valid?) (6 points), and ways the study could have been improved (6 points). Each of the previously mentioned items must be included in your critique.
