Say that you will examine the issue, that you will propose two (or however many) solutions, evaluate them, and choose one. II. Background Information About 6 – 8 pages A. What is important to know about the issue? i. To what extent does it exist? ii. How does it cause a problem? iii. History? iv. Basic definitions? B.Theories helping to understand the issue? i. Who has written about it? ii. What are the main concepts? C. What kind of research has been done? i. Use some tables, some data! D. What attempts at solving the problem have been made so far? E. Mention multicultural issues or diverse populations III. Propose Solution 1 and Solution 2 About 3 pages each A. These should somehow have developed from your background information. B. The solutions should address the problem that you are writing about!! IV. Choose a Solution = Solve the Problem Maybe 2-3 pages A. Decide which solution would be a better one and why: (use narrative format). I. Support for Solution II. Weakness of Solution III. Describe what makes this solution likely to work, include reasons: I. based on Theory II. based on Research Findings III. also Practicality / Money etc. Describe what makes this solution LESS likely to work, include reasons Be specific and detailed! Say how this will solve the problem Describe how the target organization can actually implement the solution Closing- Put a sentence at the end restating the problem and how you solved it
