Instructions: In Journals 1-3, you’ve been working toward an 8-10 page Research Argument about your chosen issue. For this assignment, you should take the start of that draft that you submitted for Journal#3–at least 500 words plus a minimum of ONE source and and outline–and ADD to it. In THIS assignment, your requirements are To add at least THREE more sources as support to your argument, for a TOTAL of FOUR, or more Add at least TWO more pages to what you had for Journal #3 (for a TOTAL OF FOUR FULL PAGES, or more–around 1200 words), And submit a better, more formalized, more detailed Formal Outline. This is the outline you should be using, unless you have cleared another with me: Classical Argument Format Classical Argument Format – Alternative Formats REQUIRED: an introduction that includes your THESIS as the LAST sentence. Since this is a rough draft, if you don’t have your intro solidified yet, that’s okay–you JUST need the thesis for now. REQUIRED: at least ONE of your own points fairly fleshed out/finished REQUIRED: at least ONE opposing argument included REQUIRED: all four sources must be introduced with an attributive tag AND include a parenthetical citation at the WILL give feedback on plagiarism and may ask you to go back and revise. This draft does NOT have to look like a finalized draft, in that it does not need to be “near-perfect;” however, try to edit and organize it as well as you can at this point, with the research you have right now. Remember, the more like a final draft you can make this part, the less you will have to work on it later, before the full 8 pages are due to me.
