Teacher candidates will plan a five-day unit for their class using the NC Extended Content Standards and their students individual IEP goals related to literacy and communication. Unit planning will ensure (a) comprehensive reading instruction using best practices and research-based strategies, (b) full access for every student to a mode of communication that meets their individual needs, (c) full access for every student to a mode of writing that meets their individual needs, and (d) full access for every student to appropriate high interest reading materials. * The teacher needs one lesson plan using the uploaded format. She will give feedback and afterwards request the entire assignment. If she is pleased with the one lesson plan written by you I will definitely request you to complete the entire assignment. It will take her a few days to give feedback. * The students should be in a ( Autistic) 3rd – 5th grade class. This is for literacy. Please do not use high academic language. She specifically requested simple vocab just how you will talk to the students parents.
