Students will write one research paper to be submitted November 27th. Each student will critically analyze the Border Crisis to fulfill the Multicultural and Global Awareness requirement for the General Education Learning Outcomes. In your paper, you will 1) provide a detailed overview of the problem; 2) identify power struggles and political influences that are causing the problem (including racial, ethnic, cultural struggles); 3) discuss the impact on immigrant families; and 4) reflect on your own perspective of the issue and how you are connected to the problem. You may pick a specific topic within the border crisis and immigration to better focus your paper. A detailed assignment sheet will be posted on Canvas. The research papers will be submitted electronically through our course web page. The paper should be a minimum of 7 pages double spaced and not exceed 20 pages.
