The questions and answers will be laid out for you following the description. I have chosen ACLU v. NSA for this case study and have attached primary and scholarly sources. I’ve attached lectures from class and a paper I’ve written on the subject. If you need more, please message me. You must only use scholarly sources in your citations and research.I’ll lay this out the best i can.Discription.I will need one page introduction so provide an introduction that begins generally and concludes with a thesis statement that narrows a reader’s focus to the case you intend to discuss.Thesis Statement (1 – 2 sentences): In your thesis statement indicate your position on the issue (whether or not you think what happened to the person/group is justified based on your knowledge).Yes, to the best of my knowledge the ACLU was justified. But, I can go either way so that you can produce a good product. The case summary will be 2-3 pages. Then, go on to summarize the actual case. Provide enough information so a reader understands the issues, but do not provide more than 3 pages of summary.Purpose: The attacks of September 11, 2001 challenged our country in new ways. As a result there has been a nearly continuous debate on the need for surveillance versus the Constitutional aspects of the 4th Amendment of the Bill of Rights. The purpose of this assignment is to:1. identify a specific, contemporary case where a person or group’s right to privacy was at issue and within the context of that caseAnswer: In 2006, in the first federal challenge ever argued against the NSA’s warrantless wiretapping program, the ACLU defeated the Bush administration when a district court declared the program unconstitutional. But in July 2007, the 6th Circuit overturned that decision. The ACLU asked the Supreme Court of the United States to consider the ruling, but in February 2008, the Court declined to review the challenge.and what you have learned in class, take a position on the issue and support that position in an informed way.Answer: 1)surveillance is deliberate and it is unlikely an analyst happens to listen in on a citizens phone conversations or gps signals. 2) in a surveillance state, the government contracts the services of a particular unit to retrieve data on its citizens. So, in the ACLU case, the white house requested data from the NSA. 3) technology creates the contrast with the 4th amendment of before and after 9/11.2. A recommendation to the decision-maker about how similar situations should be assessed and handled in the future will also be part of the paper.Answer: I’m almost certain your answer is better than mine, feel free to paraphrase my answer. My recommendation to the decision-maker is to know the law better than the lawmakers, call on the in-house legal team, and always be prepare for court action.
