Think about the critical issues facing our Governments (Federal, State, or Local Government), and pick one issue you decide to analyze in detail. Your project is expected to be completed with passion for public service, prudence for problem identification, and excellent analyses to suggest solutions. One key point is that the problem that you identify should be related to our everyday lives, and related to one of the Chapters of Lee, Johnson, & Joyce textbook and any other resources. You should use data to show a problem, and then based on your study and analysis of the issue, propose solution(s). The Research Project will be evaluated based on: Whether the problem is clearly identified and stated? The problem must be relevant to this course. In other words, it relates to the Administration of Financial Resources (Budgeting) in the public sector. Whether the proposed solution(s) are relevant and reasonable in a way that showcases your research efforts? Whether the project uses budgetary information to support problem identification and proposed solutions?
