In this assignment, students will research an industry in Nevada of their choice, the role it plays in the state and local economy, and the ways in which it is benefited from the application of Dillons Rule or Home Rule.

Each student will write a 2-3 page paper that answers the following questions about their industry:
Describe in one paragraph how the industry operates in the state of Nevada
What does the industry produce of what problems does it solve?
How does it contribute financially to the state? (Example: Do they generate tax revenue?)
How many jobs does the industry generate for the state?
What is the environmental impact of this industry on Nevada?
Do you think your industry would favor Home Rule or Dillons Rule? Briefly explain why you think so.
Your paper must use APA style, with in-text citations and a reference page.
