Gender Inequality in the workplace

Gender inequality in organisations is a complex phenomenon that can be seen in organisational structures, processes, and practices’ and is often considered to be a ‘self reinforcing system that can perpetuate discrimination (Starmarski & Hinh, 2015: 1400). Critically evaluate this statement, do you agree? In your answer you must critically discuss the nature of gender inequality in contemporary organisations and the current and potential future work roles of men and women. Your discussion must identify possible strategies for tackling inequality and evaluate the challenges associated with addressing the issue of gender equality in the workplace. My tips: The slides are must read ones and the essay should reflect on the theories included in the slides including (gender segregation, gendered organisational theory etc.). Loads of examples and statistics should also be included. I attached 5 must read and use journal articles in the essay. i also put extra reading list in the bottom of the email in order to use other sources as well. minimum 15 academic sources (journal articles + books)
