The primary written assignment in this course will be an evaluation of a Forensic Pathology Case including aspects of the forensic science/pathology evidence. The student is expected to discuss aspects of the deaths of the victims including all circumstances of the victims deaths, collection and evaluation of evidence and the public trial. If there are multiple victims associated with the case, choose at least five victims to discuss their relevancy to the case. The paper will be 2000-3000 words (12-14 pages) in length, double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font, and using APA format. The papers must be submitted to Turnitin through CANVAS by Nov. 17, 2019. The papers will be graded based on a rubric that will be posted in CANVAS. Papers received late or not submitted to CANVAS or TURNITIN will have credit deducted based on the date received. If there is no submission to CANVAS the paper will not be graded, A paper submitted late to either TURNITIN /CANVAS will lose one letter grade from day 1-7, two letter grades from day 8-14 etc. A student who is absent on the day of their assigned oral presentation will lose one letter grade if they are re-assigned another day and no credit if they do not complete their oral presentation by the end of the semester.
