Please find a recent current event, article in the paper or online, TV show, movie, or series that depicts a “Modern Family”. You are looking for a diverse family structure; whether it be a same sex couple/family, divorced family, remarriage, blended family, bi-racial family, families who have adopted children, families with different ethnic backgrounds, families with certain socio-economic status, etc. Explain the different social dynamics that occur within this family and the changing societal attitudes (positive or negative) towards this family. Why are they “different”? Are they accepted in their social circles? Why or why not? How has societal attitudes in general changed towards the traditional definition of a family.
