A business research argumentative essay with the research question “How does employee engagement affect retention rates?” and a thesis statement “Lack of employee engagement and poor leadership contributes to lower retention rates.”The paper must be at least 1500-2000 words and requires the use of six valid secondary resources for support. All of the resources must be of scholarly quality, and none of them may come from a publicly edited source (like Wikipedia, Schmoop, or a forum or chat or Ask.com, etc.). All of the sources must date back from 1990 or later. This paper needs to be written in MLA format and must include a Works Cited page (MLA documentation) of a list of sources used for support throughout the paper. Elements required in the introduction: Hook relating to the topic to catch the reader’s attention, introduce opposing sides to argument (if the topic lends to this idea), roadmap that introduces the main ideas/main claims to support the argument and thesis statement. Elements required in each body paragraph: Topic sentence, example (can be combined with the topic sentence). paraphrase or direct quote for support and analysis/explanation of how researched information supports the point/argument. Elements required in the conclusion: Rephrased thesis statement, reminders of each main point/main claim brought up in the paper and closing statement on the topic where it is clear what the reader should take away from the paper in relation to the topic that was discussed.
