Using iphone/Android app of choice: Measure one location when it is quiet and when it is noisy. Make sure to indicate the environment that you have chosen. 1. Document the sound levels using the app for each situation. Make sure to indicate the app you used. 2. Compare the levels for each situation 3. Document the findings on the discussion board 4. View the chart of acceptable noise levels on the website section- Decibel Exposure Time Guidelines and “How Loud is Too Loud?” 5. Determine the degree of detriment to normal hearing given your chosen location. Do you think that someone with sensorineural hearing loss would have more difficulty hearing and communicating in the noisier situation that you have chosen compared to the quieter situation? If so, explain. 6. Include your thoughts given the date that you have collected.
