Multicultural Clinical Case Paper. Students will demonstrate understanding of multicultural issues associated with a clinical case by addressing in a 2 page paper a specific counseling scenario where there is at least one difference between student and client. This paper should include: a. Student will present an analysis of cultural differences between the student and a client (actual/fictitious). i. Student will review own cultural identifiers and then those of the client. ii. A fictitious or real-life case scenario where the cultures of the student and client are different by ethnicity, nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation, mental and physical characteristics, education, family values, religious and spiritual values, and/or socioeconomic status. b. Student will review how the cultural differences between the student and client may impact the counseling relationship. c. Student will discuss strategies/interventions that would be helpful for you to feel comfortable discussing multicultural aspects in session. d. Student will describe how you would discuss the client in supervision and what would may be needed from your supervisor to assist with working with the client.
