Discuss ONE recommendation of the IOM Future Initiative of Nursing Report that as a DNP prepared APN you are willing to advocate for to others outside of nursing as a change in current health policy. NOTE: State why you think the recommendation you choose is important to the nursing profession and what actions/steps you are ready to engage in to advocate for its implementation. Remember to cite literature and other resources to support your perspective. In 2008 The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the Institute of Medicine (IOM) joined forces to develop a report to address the important issues facing the future of the nursing profession and national healthcare. The product of this partnership was the creation of the report The Future of Nursing Leading Change, Advancing Health and it made several recommendations intended to shape the future of nursing in order to meet the current and future health care needs of the United States. These recommendations include: 1. Nurses should practice to the full extent of their education and training. 2. Nurses should achieve higher levels of education and training through an improved education system that promotes seamless academic progression. 3. Nurses should be full partners, with physicians and other health professionals, in redesigning health care in the United States. 4. Effective workforce planning and policy making require better data collection and an improved information infrastructure. For this discussion I will focus on recommendation #2,
