For this paper assignment, you will select one of the life stages to research. You will use a minimum of 4 credible sources to obtain and use information from to explain the life stage your chose using the APA writing style. Your paper must include: the life stage your chose, what developments are taking place in that stage, why these developments are important, and what life events are associated with this life stage. Sources will include at least 2 professional journal articles on the topic. You can only use outside sources; you cannot use your own text book as a source. Your task is to explore several sources on your topic and select 4 that you want to use for this assignment. When choosing your 4 sources, make sure you choose legitimate credible sources. When selecting sources, here are a couple questions that you can ask to help determine if the source is legitimate. Is the person an expert in the field? Using a source that is well known and respected in the field will mean that it is more likely that their works have been checked and rechecked. Scholarly articles and peer journals are excellent sources of credible information. Wikipedia is not a legitimate source for a paper. Is the source current? All references must be no more than 15 years old. Use the most recent research and articles you can find. Is it biased? Always check to make sure the source you use is not biased. You want a source that has taken a fair look at the issue not one that has an agenda. The assignment will be created in word, if you do not have word, a free copy is available to you as a MAC student. Contact the instructor during the first week of class to receive the free copy and be ready to write your paper. Do not wait until your paper is due to figure out you have the wrong format. Make note, students who turn in a paper in an incorrect format will receive a zero on the paper. The Paper will be 5 to 6 pages in length excluding title page, reference page and any charts or graphs used. Use times new roman, or Arial and 12-point font. APA style format. Double spaced. Margins should be standard 1.00. You must provide the following elements in your Life Span Paper 1. Four sources 2 professional journal articles and 2 of your choosing. All sources must have identifiable author. 2. An organized research paper including the information that you find from your credible sources. 3. A Title page and a References Page in APA format. (Your paper DOES NOT have to include a Methods section or an Abstract section. 4. Provide a quality explanation of the life stage your chose that will answer each of these questions: what developments are taking place in that stage? why these developments are important? and what life events are associated with this life stage?
