Desensitisation towards shocking images

Symposium Poster + Abstract + Speaker Notes Hello, I have a symposium poster to present soon and I have already a lot of the work done and I had sent it to my professor for feedback and she gave me notes on things to fix. I was hoping you could do the research and perfect it for me as I am drowning in other assignments! What the final products should be are a reworked poster (you can write notes on the existing one and I can change them in Adobe Indesign later), a reworked abstract for the poster, and reworked speaker notes. The subject of the poster is the desensitization towards shocking images. I will attach a paper I wrote, the abstract, my notes, and the poster itself. Please review all that I will be sending you, as well as read the material that is mentioned in the bibliography of the paper to completely understand the subject and then take into consideration the notes that will be in red in the “notes file” to correct; they are mostly research and thesis question-based. Please be sure to read the notes document thoroughly. The professor feels that I am not really stating anything new or poignant. Also, my thesis statement is sort of in between two worlds instead of taking one side. I would need you to really tighten all the screws and fill in the gaps to make this poster presentation rock solid and interesting, contributing to knowledge. Here is some context about myself, I am a documentary photographer, I myself work with sensitive subjects such as protests, refugees, the homeless, the injured, etc.. So in some manner, I produce a type of shocking images. Now I would like my argument to state in a clever and well-researched way that even though shocking images may have desensitised the viewers, they are still necessary to avoid being too sheltered from the realities of life. I am not sure if that is a good thesis statement to go with, but its a thought. Please communicate with me your thoughts, if you have a better thesis to propose after reading all my material. You will need to research and adjust everything that is needed so that the presentation of this will be flawless. Bear in mind that what I will hand in in the poster and the abstract, but the speaker notes no one will see even though they need to be intricate and detailed because I am handicapped and need all the help I can get when I present. All the documents that I have written start with Visual Culture, the rest are some of the materials found in my bibliography. If something is unclear or you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out. ** I have uploaded reading materials of what I used on the order but I need you to use other credible resources to polish my existing work.
