PROJECT #5: MULTI-MEDIA MARKETING

Students will create a complete commercial for a sports product/team/entity/program. Using the knowledge gained in this course, students will construct a commercial using imovie or moviemaker software. Basic instruction on software usage will be covered in class, and individual direction will be provided throughout the project.

Creativity in advertising, the ability to communicate a specific message to a target market, and employing technology in creating marketing materials are but a few skills this project will address.

Each commercial will be accompanied by an elaborate marketing plan, identifying key elements of the marketing mix. Presentations must also include strategies for delivering the message to the target market, as well as justification for how the message is expected to affect the general audience. Your grade will be based on your ability to incorporate the required information in your project, and we will use the Technology, and Presentation Rubric posted on Canvas to asses your grade.

This project will span approximately three weeks, and ample time in the computer labs will be provided. Any extra time needed in the mac labs can be scheduled around computer lab hours.

Each project must:

Be a minimum of 60 seconds long (60 seconds minimum together or in parts, two minutes maximum)
Provide a comprehensive marketing plan for your product
Not use copy protected music
Effectively incorporate your marketing plan
Employ creative ideas / strategies
Be published to YouTube
Explain a minimum of five marketing strategies
After your Project is posted to YouTube, post that link to Canvas as your final project submission. This link MUST work. You will be required to present your overall strategy in the second class presentation. Be prepared to discuss all aspects of your commercial/s.

** Include all of this information in your Master Report that will be turned in at the end of the semester. **
