Consider briefly what is working well in respect of the services provided for your chosen area of need.

1. Identify an area of need. This may be broadly stated initially, e.g. domicilary care, special needs education, asylum-seeking children, meals on wheels, support for fostered children transitioning into adulthood and independent living, etc. 2. Comment briefly on the policy, legal and/or historical context of your chosen area of need. 3. Consider briefly what is working well in respect of the services provided for your chosen area of need. 4. Identify gaps in service-provision, that is, consider weaknesses in service-provision and where opportunities exist to make things better in respect of your chosen area of need. 5. Suggest improvement, bearing in mind that whatever you suggest at this stage may be the main focus of analytical discussion for your Assessment Two, which is about effective response to and implementation of the need you have identified. This does not mean you cannot change your initial suggestion(s) for improvement at a later date when completing assessment two. To achieve a good to excellent grade, be concise on the whole, given restrictive word-limit, whilst being insightful in your account and using supportive evidence from your wider readings. 6.
