The end product of this scenario is to write a research paper on how climate change effects residents in Northern Ontario from a financial and emotional standpoint. The major focus of this essay is that Climate change effects the residents through several ways. Extreme summers cause drought effecting farmers business, causing them to have to spend more money leading to elevated stress. Warmer winters means less snow therefore effecting the ski and snowboarding industry causing business owners to spend more money resulting in stress. People are losing stress relief options like hunting, fishing, bird watching due to climate change effecting animal migration, leading to elevated stress rates. Many people suffer from seasonal affective disorder, how do the irrational seasonal patterns, hotter summers and colder winters effect peoples mental health. Peoples overall concern for the environment and the lives that their children will have leads to increased stress. There may be other factors related to climate change that cause emotional or financial distress, search through scholarly articles to find other arguments if needed. Use these factors to explain how climate change has caused both financial and emotional strain on residents of northern Ontario and how these factors are related.
