For example, had we covered the Louisiana Purchase in this class, you might write your research paper on Creole cooking (I’m pretty sure I kept saying Cajun today. I meant Creole). Creole cooking is a culmination of mainly French, Haitian, Spanish, and West African cuisines. Considering what we covered throughout this semester, you can imagine how these cuisines were introduced to one another and how and why Creole represents that particular region in the world.
