The course for this paper is Addictions Screening & Assessment – This will be done from watching a YouTube video link will be provided – Students will be provided with a video-taped case that they will individually conceptualize. They will then write a 5-page paper that conceptualizes their clients issues. Students will apply ASAM Placement Criteria to the case study that includes their rationale for their chosen placement. Students will present the clinical criteria that guided them to the most efficient placement in the continuum of care based on the severity of the illness. Students will need to demonstrate a working knowledge of the ASAM Patient Placement Criteria. A detailed description and scoring rubric will be provided for these presentations.
