I am trying to apply for a scholarship with the University. There are two parts that need to be answered. Please read them carefully and closely and then answer them. Part (1): Using no more than 250 words, please state why your skills, experience and plans for further research or study make you a particularly suitable candidate for an award: Part (2): Using no more than 800 words please summarise your proposed research topic. You should summarise your research proposal, please do not simply duplicate the proposal you have submitted with your admissions application, but summarise this in language which can be understood by someone who is not a specialist in your subject. Please give a description of your proposed research topic including the questions or hypotheses to be addressed; the methods to be used; the sources to be consulted; a brief timetable covering the period of study; how you expect the research to be useful and to whom. You should also indicate any fieldwork or language training plans how these fit into the timetable of study.
