This will be based on the cases in Chapters 6 – 10 of the book. In chapters 6 – 10, you will find cases that would be considered ‘failures.’ Please examine these cases and discuss any common elements that existed that led to the negative results for the United States. Is national security ‘failure’ a case-by-case problem or are there some general trends that can be determined, a sort of ‘hard-earned lessons to avoid’?
