Elevator Speech (15%): Public Personnel Management in Practice Each student will create an Elevator Speech presentation file (PowerPoint file 5 slides including title &conclusion page) on public personnel management. Each student will investigate personnel management or related public policy for a public or non-profit organization. * Elevator Speech is a short summary used to briefly deliver your message to your audience (including your boss or supervisor). Imagine that you met your supervisor or boss and you were asked to report about your work in an elevator in the morning. The name “elevator speech” reflects the idea that your speech has to deliver your main message in the time span of an elevator ride, or approximately one or two minutes. ** Please submit your elevator speech presentation file by December 5 before class (4:30 pm). ***Submit your file through the blackboard. The short speech presentation file should include the following slides: 1) Slide 1: Title page (name, title of the presentation) 2) Slide 2: Identify concerns and challenges in a public personnel management or policy 3) Slide 3: Analyze one public or nonprofit organization how they deal with the selected challenge 4) Slide 4: Describe the best practices or policies of the organization (applicability to other organizations, implications) 6 5) Slide 5: Conclusion & References I will attach the research proposal, the elevator speech is a summary of the final paper which I will order once the speech elevator is completed.
