1. Policy Analysis of ICWA. This will analyze the current status of the policy issue of your interest. (ICWA) Propose policy options and then critically evaluate their merits. Focus on empowerment issues and other aspects of social work ethics, indicating what additional steps should be taken now and, in the future, to create positive outcomes and solutions. Discuss the possible impact, implications, and values and ideology that shape the policy options. ??Discuss the impact the policy options could have on particular populations. Who is (and not) covered by the policy? How might this impact life experiences and life chances for certain populations? Could the policy perpetuate or alleviate oppression and discrimination? Could the policy create or enhance privilege and power for certain populations? o ?? Discuss the current debate and research that informs ICWA. What does the evidence tell us? o ??
