Technical report on Morphing Blade Technologies” 1. Description The purpose of this coursework assignment is to practise the technical writing skills. You are asked to write a technical report on a task similar to what may be encountered by a practising engineer revising new technologies to increase the efficiency and reduce the stresses in blades of wind turbines. The blade shape adaptation technologies are receiving significant interest in wind turbine because they can change the shape of the blades depending on the wind increasing the efficiency and reducing blade loads. You are required to make a technical report containing: 1. Brief description of the morphing concepts and technologies 2. Main applications of the shape adaptation technologies 3. A literature review aimed at demonstration of the advantages and disadvantages of the different technologies. 4. Conclusions The emphasis of the assignment is put on work with sources of information, their proper referencing, style, and production of formal proof-read report.
