Bias in the News:
This paper will dive into bias in the media and analyzing is bias in the media a legitimate problem? I think it is a really interesting top because in any current event all eyeballs are on the media and more recently there are eyeballs in the discrepancy between different news outlets and the lack of coverage of certain events based on a newspaper companys political opinions. When thinking of the presidents favorite term fake news, the question I ask is if it benefitted him would he call it the fake news? If the media outlet liked him, would they produce the same piece? I am very excited to dive into this topic because there are many studies done on this and much research done on bias in the media. I cant wait to look at the data and facts and analyze whether media bias is a major issue in todays world or if people know which media outlets to turn to base on their political opinion. I cannot wait to read up on both sides of the argument.
