Annotated Bibliography
Write a 6 pages academic annotated bibliography that explores an issue of your choice as it relates to immigration in the United States. talk about ECONOMIC BENEFIT OF IMMIGRATION IN THE UNITED STATES(TOPIC) So the whole annotated bibliography should be about that. Strengthen your Essay by addressing the various sides of the debate that you found in your research; acknowledge counter-arguments and address them.
A bibliography is an alphabetical list of sources with publication information that you are using to research a topic. An Annotated Bibliography includes brief information on the content, relevance, and credibility of each of your sources.
For this assignment, you should write at least one full page for EACH of your sources. Be sure to include:
1. Complete MLA citation
2. Concise summary of the source, including a brief description of the main argument
3. An evaluation of the authors qualifications given your topic
4. An explanation of the sources relevance to your topic
5. An explanation of what the source contributes to your research that other sources do not and/or how you envision using the source in your research essay.
Required Sources:
1 book length source (For this assignment, you do not have to have completed the book. Just give a general sense of what the book is about, what the authors credentials are, and how it will inform your research.)
Can be an e-book
2 scholarly articles
How can tell if an article is scholarly?
2 news sources 1 from a National Newspaper and the other can be from a less established, but still reliable news site.
National Newspapers include: NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, and Chicago Tribune)
1 source of your choice, such as You Tube video, company website, etc.
Can also be another book, scholarly article, or news source.
Make sure that one of the 6 sources above uses some amount of statistical evidence to back up its claims.
At least one must be more a theoretical text that takes a broader, philosophical approach to the topic.
You cannot use more than one source from class.
