Written Assignments: Students will be required to complete a Management Theory Paper. Your paper is due at the end of Unit 7. Rubrics will be used to grade your work. Assignments should be written in the format of the most current edition of the APA manual. Each paper must be submitted via Blackboard and emailed copies will not be accepted. Policies in regard to turning work in late also apply to these assignments. This assignment will require students to use empirical sources (books, journal articles, scholarly publications, etc.) to gather information in completing this assignment.
For your Management Theory Paper, you pick a current approach to management shared in our textbook to expand upon further. In thinking about the current approach you chose, please address the following in your paper:
Share a short summary of the theory you selected. Please be sure not to copy
any material you have previously written about this theory into your paper as that would be considered an academic integrity violation.
In thinking about the theory, describe the benefits of using this management style in counseling and human services organizations.
In thinking about the theory, describe the challenges of using this management style in counseling and human services organizations.
In thinking about the theory, describe why you believe that this theory would be a good fit for you personally using scholarly sources to support your ideas.
Your written assignment will consist of a paper that is at least 5 full pages. Your paper must be double spaced with size 12 Times New Roman font and 1 inch margins on all sides. Your paper will need a title page, body (at least 5 full pages), and reference section all in APA style. Please use complete sentences, appropriate grammar, spelling, and references (your textbook is the only reference needed). You will also be required to use in-text references in your work in accordance with APA style to avoid plagiarism. Information to help with your writing is provided under the APA resources section of the course information tab.
For your paper, you are required to provide 3 scholarly sources to support your claims that are not provided as part of this course. Be sure to avoid using internet sources such as Wikipedia or other web based resources that do not have strong academic backing if you choose additional resources. You will also be required to use
in-text references in your work in accordance with APA style to avoid plagiarism. Plagiarism detection software will be used to scan each paper.
