This is the culmination of your research project. It is expected that you will draw a conclusion from your research that is based on sound logic and reasoned judgment. Along with the strengths and weaknesses of your own arguments you should suggest future avenues of analysis. Your final paper needs to be approximately twelve to fifteen pages, double-spaced, one-inch margins, and twelve-point font. Please also include page numbers starting after the title page.Your paper should include the following:
Title page with title, name, and date.
Introduction – outline the controversy under consideration, why this is relevant, a quick summary of the literature in this area, a brief discussion of how the court have considered this or related issues.
Literature review – the academic community’s writing on this topic and how the courts have considered this issue.
Legal conclusion – using the precedents already decided in this area while being informed by the learnings of the academic literature draw a reasoned legal conclusion to your controversy. Be sure to justify your conclusion and anticipate and explain why alternative conclusions are inferior to your opinion.
