You are to write a 1500-word typewritten paper (12 pt. font, double spaced, circa five pages) about local music in San Diego, specifically focusing on one group (or individual). To obtain information about the group/musician you will need to interview them; however, this paper is not to be a transcript of the interview (you are to get information from the musician/group through the interview process). If you wish to include a transcript of the interview, you may include it as an addendum to the paper (not counted as part of the required five pages). Also if you wish, you may discuss: the style/genre of music (this may be done through standard research methods), the history/biography of the musician/group, the instrumentation, performance venues, type of audience performed to, etc…
